Origins Netflix Original Motion

Origins" is a fictitious Netflix Original made up by the University of Hertfordshire. Each episode focuses on the history behind a music genre. This project was specifically focused on making an intro and a visual language for the episode that would focus on the origins of House music, a genre that was built in the underground streets of Detroit and Chicago. The visual narrative built for the episode is meant to represent the movement that went way beyond music itself, the intention was to showcase the resistance and occupancy of new territories for the LGBTQIA+ community that is intrinsic to the history of the genre.

"Origins" é um original fictício da Netflix criado pela Universidade de Hertfordshire. Cada episódio se concentra na história por trás de um gênero musical. Esse projeto tinha como foco específico fazer uma introdução e uma linguagem visual para o episódio que focasse nas origens da House music, gênero que se construiu nas ruas underground de Detroit e Chicago. A narrativa visual construída para o episódio pretende representar o movimento que foi muito além da música em si, a intenção foi mostrar a resistência e a ocupação de novos territórios pela comunidade LGBTQIA+ intrínseca à história do gênero.
